About the Journal
Forum Islamic-Theological Studies is an international and interdisciplinary academic journal with the aim of fostering academic discourse on Islamic theology, religious education, and their conceptualization.
Characterized by its interdisciplinary, multi-perspective, dialogical, and interdenominational approach, the forum provides a platform for studies, hermeneutical analyses, and academic reflections within the diverse subfields of Islamic-Theological Studies. A special emphasis is placed on the exchange of innovative, contemporary approaches with positions rooted in traditional Islamic scholarship. At the same time, the journal seeks to give space to the intra-Islamic diversity of various faith traditions and legal schools.
As a medium oriented toward both intra- and interreligious perspectives, the journal Forum Islamic-Theological Studies is also open to contributions from related disciplines, such as Islamic Studies, Religious Studies, Sociology of Religion, and other theological fields.
