This article is based on a qualitative-reconstructive study on the religious socialization of (Muslim) adolescents in a mediatized world. From 2020 to 2023, twelve Muslim adolescents aged 12 to 19 were interviewed using narrative, guideline-based individual interviews on how they deal with media in everyday life and the role of religion (in media). The article uses interview passages to illustrate how young people deal with (religious) influencing and meaning fluencing. The influencers mentioned and their content are presented and compared with the relevance given by the young people in the interviews. The aim of the article is to shed light on the role of meaning fluencing in the lives of Muslim young people and to show their perspectives on media and religion
